Holiday Spirits To:

During our previous visit with Bill D’Amico from Chalet Premier, a local state liquor agency specializing in premium wines, spirits, and specialty beers, we asked Bill for a couple suggestions on which wines would serve as nice hostess gifts.  With the Christmas party season in full swing, this might help take the guess work out of what to bring your host when you’re not exactly sure what their taste is.  Here are a few of the many options available to help make your shopping a little easier.  Stay tuned for our feature on Christmas wines and spirits.

Ghost Pines Cabernet  SauvignonFor the more frequent/loyal wine drinker. This wine features a blend of ripe, red and black fruit flavors from Napa Valley, CA and Sonoma County, CA with aromas of dark fruit jam, sweet nuts and black pepper.

Amitage Red BlendA nice smooth blend, not too dry or sweet, a good middle of the road wine. You will taste flavors of blackberries and plums, with a hint of spice for an elegant finish. Columbia Valley, WA

Moscato-  For those who enjoy a sweeter wine, or are new to wine drinking, a nice dessert wine.  Moscato is a light-body, crisp wine. Expect your palate to taste a lineup of many fruit-filled flavors.
