The perfect cocktail to compliment a crisp autumn day, Apple Cider Sangria packs all the flavors of fall you love into one scrumptious wine glass! As pretty to behold as a burst of sun kissed fall foliage, each delightful sip will embrace you with warm memories of apple pies, hayrides and pumpkin picking. Of course, our favorite recipe just happens to include our favorite Pinot Grigio, Ecco Domani. The honeycrisp apples and pears absorb the flavor of wine and apple cider, but in turn they infuse the sangria with fruitiness. Crisp, sweet and refreshing!
1 Bottle of Pinot Grigio
2.5 cups fresh apple cider
1 cup club soda
1/2 cup of ginger brandy * We made ours without the brandy*
3 honey crisp apples, chopped
3 pears, chopped
When heavenly shades of crimson, russet and gold crown the tree tops, and the nip of fall is in the air, we delight in the sensuous aroma of pumpkin cakelets and cinnamon swirl bread baking in the oven, scenting our homes and warming our hearts. We used seasonal bakeware to fashion pumpkin cakelets in the shapes of mini-pumpkins, acorns, and cones. Cinnamon bread baked in our autumn themed bread pan leaves an imprint of large pumpkins. Each added the perfect accent to our fall tablescape when displayed on seasonal decor. Our guests sipped a festive fall cocktail, homemade sangria, to compliment the baked goods (check tomorrow’s blog post for recipe). A beautiful, relaxing harvest afternoon filled with friends, food, and fun!
