To keep her skin looking young and healthy, Karen selects body care products that pamper, protect, and moisturize. When it comes to the anti-aging process, body care is just as important to her as the face. Lathering up with well scented body washes that clean and hydrate the skin, without leaving a residue, make Karen’s skin feel soft and supple. The mixture of warm sweet cream and peony fragrance in Dove’s Purely Pampering Body Wash nourishes and soothes her skin, leaving her feeling relaxed. The body wash is thick, rich, and creamy. Always on hand, she rotates her routine with a seasonal scented body wash from Bath and Body Works. The L’Occitane Shower Oil banishes dry skin and is wonderful for shaving. The almond scent is delicate and addictive! For a spa-like treatment at home, Karen uses The Body Shop Spa Of The World Himalayan Charcoal Clay Body Mask. Applied once or twice a week, this mask draws out impurities and toxins in the skin for a deeper cleanse. The Peter Thomas Roth Firm X Peeling Gel serves a dual purpose for her face and decolletage which rolls, lifts, and sweeps away dead skin cells. Moisturizing is so easy when using Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. A real time saver, Karen can apply this coconut oil-infused lotion directly to her damp skin after showering, and before towel drying, to lock in hydration. Hands and feet are prone to drying and cracking. To smooth and soften hands, Karen uses Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment. For her feet, Avon Foot Works Healthy Intensive Moisture is a thick, rich moisturizer and Earth Therapeutics Intensive Heel Repair tackles dry, cracked heels. Finally, to achieve a bronze healthy looking glow, Karens turns to Tarte Brazilliance Maracuja Self Tanner for an all over glow!
Pampering myself with body care products that make my skin feel soft, smooth, and healthier looking are the best way to nurture my skin. I like to rotate my body washes between different brands which currently are Tone, Caress, Soap & Glory, and Bath & Body Works. I normally choose products that moisture well, have inviting fragrances, and clean my skin without stripping. Fresh Sugar Acai Age Delay Body Cream is a luxury anti-aging cream that is a bit more expensive, but well worth it. The scent is exhilarating with luscious ingredients like bergamot, caramel, and exotic acai fruit with undertones of white and green tea. This cream improves the texture of my skin, firms and leaves it feeling like silk. I concentrate on my decolletage area or anywhere I feel I need to turn back the clock. The Body Shop Body Butter and Soap & Glory Body Buttercream are both good moisturizers that hydrate my skin without that greasy feeling. A thicker consistency, the body butter is perfect for times when using a sunless tanner or when my skin needs a boost of extra moisture. Climate changes can sometimes wreak havoc on my skin, so adding a few extras like L’Occitane Almond Oil and Milk Veil along with Josie Maran Argan Oil help to replenish and restore. Often neglected are the hands and feet. Your hands can give away your age and nobody wants to look at cracked heels. To tackle both of these issues, I grab my Perfectly Posh Big Fat Yummy Hand Cream and Avon Foot Works Healthy Intensive Moisture Cream. For evenings, I opt to sit back and relax in a nice warm bath. I drop a Lush Bath Bomb into the water to upgrade my experience. Finally, if there is one thing I can’t live without this season, it is the Tarte Maracuja Rainforest Glow. It glides on nicely giving my skin a natural, healthy glow!
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
Well, Jerrod Blandino (Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Too faced Cosmetics) is at it once again via instagram, teasing us with another sneak peak of what’s coming in Spring 2017! He previously shared a sneak peak of the Too Faced Christmas In New York Collection which we featured as a blog post. If these two peach scented palettes, The Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach and The Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow, are anything like the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, you better run, not walk for these! Sounds like we may have a scrumptious blush and highlighter palette about to hit the shelves this winter? I guess we will just have to play the waiting game. Too Faced truly is the land of glam! So much glam in fact, Karen and I added three of our go-to delicious eyeshadow palettes!
From Top Left: Twilight Bath Bomb, The Intergalactic Bath Bomb
From Bottom Left: Frozen Bath Bomb, The Experimenter Bath Bomb
Who doesn’t enjoy a relaxing spa-like bath after a long day? Lush bath bombs can quickly transform your normal bath into a new relaxing experience. The Twilight Bath Bomb (peaceful lavender bathing under the stars), when dropped into the bath will quietly dissolve before revealing colors of blue. Reminiscent of the night sky and a lavender scent, your skin will be left feeling silky smooth. This one is perfect before bed to relieve stress. The Intergalactic Bath Bomb (hooked on a feeling), is a combination of peppermint and neon color to enhance your mood and awaken the senses. The water is a gorgeous, glittery blue which left us feeling like a space goddess. No wonder why we love this one, it also gives warmth and masculinity from the vetivert and cedarwood ingredients. Plus, it includes real popping candy for an even more exciting bath. For the perfect Fairytale ending, then Frozen (Let it Go) is the bath bomb for you. With beautiful colors of fizzy blue water and a explosion of glitter, it’s like a snowstorm meeting an ocean. A blend of grapefruit, neroli, and rose oil will lift your spirits in no time, all while leaving you fresh and clean. Lastly, for a super fun and interesting bath, try The Experimenter Bath Bomb (Technicolor Bathing). When fizzing out you will see a multitude of gorgeous and surprising colors. The Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute and Vetivert Oil make this sweet, comforting scent simply amazing. The flecks of glitter and the aroma left us feeling re-energized. Lush, we are hooked line and sinker. These bath bombs are a must-have guilty pleasure!

The Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection has us doing cartwheels. OMG! There are no words to describe this collection, okay maybe a few come to mind. Genius, flawless, perfection, impressive, and incredible to name a few! Let’s start with The Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate. Lauren never believed she could achieve full coverage with just four small dots applied to her face. The product offers twice the pigment and blends seamlessly across her complexion, covering any imperfections. Honestly, the best foundation Lauren has tried thus far. The new Air Blush consists of two customized, well pigmented shades that are weightless, blend easily, and are so incredibly smooth and airy that the application process is a breeze. The color combinations available are simply stunning, plus the quality and formula of the blush is unlike no other. The packaging is beautiful and sleek, leaving it hard to stray to other brands. The Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer Lipgloss received the Best of Beauty Award from Allure Magazine in 2015. A luxurious, high shine gloss that is long lasting with a subtle minty flavor. Everyone needs one of these glosses in their makeup collection. Wear alone, or on top of other lip colors, the choice is yours. The gloss is not too sticky and has just the right amount of color. If you’ve never cared for a gloss before, these might change your mind. Lastly, the Highlander Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner gives you the luxury of a gel eyeliner with the ease of a pencil. It glides on and stays put all day. It’s the perfect eyeliner to use on your water line. Once it sets, it doesn’t smudge and it comes in a variety of vivid colors. Can we just ask for more Marc? PLEASE!
